Tiger Roll odds slashed from 14/1 to 11/2 in Irish Grand National
Following a disagreement over allocated weights by the UK handicapper, Tiger Roll won’t be making an appearance at the 2021 Grand National, however his odds have been slashed in the Irish equivalent.
The two-time Grand National winner and five-time Cheltenham Festival winner will run at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday and his odds have been decisively slashed over the past few days.
The five-day declarations stage took place today and Tiger Roll was one of the runners still included. He is now priced at a general 11/2 after being available at a relatively big 14/1 just a few days ago. With Gordon Elliott still banned from the sport, Denise ‘Sneezy’ Foster is currently training the horse and as things stand he will likely be aimed at the Betway Bowl at the three-day Grand National festival at Aintree next week. That said, Michael and Eddie O’Leary have yet to decide where their superstar runner will race.
Wherever Tiger Roll goes he will arrive in the best form having trashed the opposition in the Cross Country (Glenfarclas) Chase at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival in mid-March. This was the fifth Cheltenham festival win for the eleven-year-old and he looked to be back to his best following some recent under-par performances.
Tiger Roll was back to his best in the 2021 Cross Country Chase earlier this month
