Odds slashed on Rachael Blackmore winning 2021 Grand National

Cloth Cap remains strong favourite to win the 2021 Randox Grand National, however the bookies are starting to believe that Minella Times, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, can put in a good showing on the day.

Minella Times – previously available at odds of around 14/1 – is now a general 12/1 shot to win the 2021 Grand National, behind favourite Cloth Cap at 7/2. Indeed bookmakers have been reporting further surges of support for Rachael Blackmore’s planned mount on April 10th and the JP McManus-owned runner is currently joint third-favourite alongside Kimberlite Candy and just behind second-favourites Any Second Now and Burrows Saint at 10/1 apiece.

Rachael Blackmore is looking to make history at Aintree this weekend

Blackmore made history last month by becoming the first ever female jockey to be crowned champion jockey at the prestigious Cheltenham Festival and she will be aiming to once again get her name in the record books by becoming the first woman to win the Grand National.

The bookmakers are gearing themselves up for a further surge in market support for Rachael Blackmore and Minella Times ahead of the Grand National on Saturday afternoon. Indeed many pundits believe that the runner could be sent off as the closest market rival to Cloth Cap.
