Galvin dominates ante-post market for 2022 Grand National
The betting markets for the 2022 Randox Grand National are yet to take shape, however some of the bigger names have laid down their credentials five months before the big race.
Taking place over a total distance of 4 miles 2 1/2 furlongs, the 2021 Grand National was won by Rachael Blackmore aboard Minella Times, this being the first time ever that a female jockey had triumphed in the famous steeplechase. In recent seasons this gruelling contest has been dominated by the Irish contingent with runners from the Emerald Isle having won all-but-one of the last five renewals. Two of these were by Tiger Roll and it is understood that he might once again be in the thick of the action on April 9th 2022 as he goes in search of an historic third win.
Galvin dominates the ante-post betting market for the 2022 Grand National with Gordon Elliott earmarking him for the race following his runner-up finish in a Grade 1 at Down Royal. This result for the seven-year-old came on the back of victory in a Grade 3 at Punchestown and following this race, Elliott said: “He might be more a Grand National horse. He knows how to win and he’s just a great horse to have.”
At the time of writing, Galvin is an ante-post price of 16/1 to win the 2022 Grand National.
Gordon Elliott will also aim Mount Ida at the 2022 renewal of the world-famous race after she impressed in her reappearance at Clonmel.
