David Pipe pulls remastered from 2023 Grand National
Handler David Pipe has stated that Remastered won’t be taking part in the 2023 Randox Grand National which is held on Saturday, 15th April at Aintree Racecourse.
Remastered will not now be aimed at the 2023 Grand national, Stratford-upon-Avon trainer David Pipe saying earlier this week: “We have decided to scratch Remastered from the Grand National. While the horse is absolutely fine in himself he is not performing on the track and we thought it best to miss this time and hopefully we will be back next year!” Pipe is close to 70 winners already this term and the likelihood is that he will soon edge past this total.
At the time of writing there are a grand total of 73 runners for the 2023 Grand National and this will whittled right down to 40 plus 4 reserves closer to the three-day meeting. Corach Rambler is currently favourite to win the famous steeplechase at a general price of 8/1 while 2022 winner Noble Yeats is next in the betting at a best price of 9/1 with the leading UK bookmakers.
Other notable contenders for the race include Cheltenham National Hunt winner Gaillard Du Mesnil at 12/1 while two-time dual Cross Country winner Delta Work is a general 14/1 shot alongside Mr Incredible at the same odds.
Longhouse Poet and 2022 Grand National runner-up Any Second Now complete the top seven in the market at a general price of 16/1 apiece.
