The big unknown for the O’Neill runner will be the step-up in trip given that his furthest distance thus far was 3m 1f in his last outing. Having only had five career outings over fences thus far with three wins along the way, the likelihood is that he will have more to come.
Prior to his Cheltenham appearance last month, Monbeg Genius had won three on the trot and he will go into the Scottish Grand National with a leading chance.
